History
2018–2019 | The first pencil stroke and the genesis of Made in France.
Ateliers HeritageBike, it all starts with a simple gesture: a pencil stroke on paper. This first stroke, made instinctively, draws much more than a bicycle or an electric motorbike. It sketches a way of life: one of mobility that no longer chooses between elegance and innovation.
The Heritage Origine project is launched with the support of the design office Antidote Solutions and the prototyping company Milc Industry. A few months later, Xavier Wargnier and Guillaume Monsigny officially found the company. They were joined by six partners, convinced that another form of mobility was possible. In December, the very first prototype was ready. The lines were already there: sleek, balanced, unique.
But very quickly, a second challenge arose: that of manufacturing. The ambition was never to design a product that was French at heart, but truly made in France. This requirement, at a time when the bicycle industry was largely outsourced, proved to be complex. Thus began a long search to find partners capable of producing the essential components in France. This challenge was all the greater because it involved reviving a lost craft. This demanding journey would become one of the pillars of the company.

2020 | The rise of Heritage Origine: Trial and revelation.
In February, Heritage Origine was presented to the public at the Les Sommets event. Its bold neo-retro silhouette intrigued and charmed. Then the world went into lockdown. Far from dampening ambitions, this period served as a revelation. A deep need for freedom and meaningful objects. An article in Paris Match then propelled the project into the spotlight. The enthusiasm was immediate: the first 24 units sold out in a matter of days.
In July, the first deliveries began. It was a key moment when the founders, Xavier Wargnier and Guillaume Monsigny, personally handed over the deliveries themselves. This sincere and precious human connection would become part of the brand’s DNA. Never lose touch with those for whom we create.
In September, a technological milestone was reached. The signing of a strategic partnership with Valeo, combining craftsmanship with the innovative power of an automotive giant.
2021 | The rise to prominence: New horizons.
Ateliers HeritageBike is no longer content to simply exist. The brand is establishing itself as a permanent fixture in the world of exceptional mobility. The range is expanding and the contours of the universe are becoming clearer. What’s more, the company’s identity is becoming more pronounced.
Next, the Heritage Heroes model makes its debut. It is a charismatic machine with a bold design. It is designed to combine neo-retro elegance with a thrilling ride. As such, it meets the expectations of even the most demanding enthusiasts.
In its wake came something as unexpected as it was perfectly coherent: the Heritage Side. A flax fibre trailer with a bold design, conceived as a true extension of the bike. More than an accessory, it is a travelling companion, perfectly coordinated in style with our models.
In addition, a major breakthrough marked the year: the integration of the Valeo engine. This now equips a new version of the Heritage Origine model. Indeed, this marriage of design and intelligent motorisation combines style and technology. In addition, the 7-speed automatic gearbox ensures smooth assistance management. Thus, every technical detail fades into the background behind the pleasure of riding.
Finally, a new chapter begins with the move to the Parc des Glaisins in Annecy. Ideally nestled between lake and mountains, this location offers a natural source of inspiration. It has become our nerve centre. This is where we think, create and imagine the future. It is also where ideas, prototypes and finishes come together. Ultimately, this culture of rigour shapes the vehicles of a new art of living every day.

2022 | Strategic momentum and the first round of fundraising.
This is a pivotal year, when the initial intuition becomes strategy. When the range expands to respond to new desires, new terrains, new emotions. The Heritage Altitude is presented as an elegant and powerful response to the call of nature. Designed for the great outdoors, it embodies a specific idea: that adventure can also be synonymous with refinement. Alongside it, the Heritage Style offers a chic and agile urban alternative. And for those who want to venture off the beaten track without losing their sense of style, the Escapade version takes this promise of refined freedom even further.
That year, Ateliers HeritageBike was no longer content with simply designing beautiful vehicles. It was time to go further: to structure the organisation, accelerate development and surround itself with demanding and visionary minds. It was in this spirit that, in December, an initial fundraising round of €1 million was successfully completed. But this operation was not just a simple financial contribution; it was also a human commitment to a tangible project. The new partners were not mere investors. They were talented individuals and trusted partners.
In December, Ateliers HeritageBike received an Automobile Awards for its unprecedented collaboration with automotive equipment manufacturer Valeo. This first distinction was like a promise: that of a company capable of combining emotion, innovation and excellence.
2023 | International recognition and the birth of the electric motorcycle.
The breakthrough takes place in Las Vegas, at the legendary CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the temple of international technology. The Valeo Cyclee motor, fitted to HeritageBike bicycles, is hailed as one of the major innovations of the year. Automatic, intelligent and powerful, it perfectly embodies the unique combination that the brand has championed since its inception: disruptive technology combined with timeless aesthetics.
The team takes shape with the arrival of Pierre Sauvageot (production manager) and Sandra Dal Moro (administrative and accounting manager). These were essential pillars for the growth of the company. At this point, Ateliers HeritageBike was no longer just a promising young brand. It was a workshop that was transforming into a creative hub, built on a close-knit team, proven expertise and a long-term vision.
In terms of products, this was a defining moment: the arrival of the Heritage Spirit Scrambler, our very first electric motorcycle. A machine that embodies everything we have stood for since the first pencil stroke: a vehicle of emotion, a silhouette that makes the heart beat as fast as it speeds along the asphalt. Where most manufacturers focus on futuristic, almost clinical lines, we have taken a different approach. We believe that an electric motorcycle should not look like a concept, but rather a reminiscence, a dreamlike projection of freedom. It must tell a story. It must stir the memories of those who loved great escapes, the vibrations of old mechanics, the smells of oil and leather, but without compromising on the future.
In December, we will reveal our new graphic identity, more understated and luxurious, reflecting our confident positioning in the high-end market.

2024 | Industrial transformation and innovation without limits.
In March, a milestone was reached. The signing of an industrial partnership with Cixi propelled Ateliers HeritageBike into a new era of production. This partnership not only supports our growth, it accelerates it, structures it and raises it to the level of our ambitions.
Thanks to this partnership, a new central space is created. It now brings together our assembly workshop, our showroom, and the headquarters of Ateliers. What’s more, this move allows us to bring together everything that makes us unique. Creation, manufacturing, and customer service now coexist under one roof.
It is precisely in this space that each model comes to life. Here, our customers can discover our creations and observe our expertise. Finally, this new setting increases our production capacity. However, we maintain the high standards of craftsmanship that have always defined us.
In May, the brand unveils the Altitude Cixi 2×2, the world’s first mountain bike to combine dual motors without a mechanical transmission. The summer sees the birth of a gem of customisation: the Heritage Origine full leather, the result of a collaboration with Talents. In September, the implementation of our ERP system paves the way for integrated production management.
October was a highlight. Les Ateliers HeritageBike collaborated with Renault on the launch of the electric R4 at the Paris Motor Show. We unveiled an exclusive Heritage Spirit Scrambler, a rolling echo of the legendary Renault 4.
The end of the year confirmed our rise to prominence: a new Automobile Award in December for our commitment to soft mobility.
2025 | A new era of responsibility and maturity.
The year begins with a collaboration with The Good Life magazine and the Heroes Media group. This collaboration gives rise to a special edition: the Heritage Spirit Scrambler ‘Full Black’. This model attracts all eyes at the Rétromobile show, where the brand unveils its entire range for the first time. It is a momentous occasion. An alignment between design, technology and desire, which establishes Ateliers HeritageBike as a brand in its own right, at the intersection of art and engineering.
At the same time, a more discreet milestone is reached: the end of the Business Climate Convention journey. This BCC journey was personally followed by the two founders. Intense, rigorous and deeply human, this transformation programme led them to question every choice, every material and every partner. This experience has resulted in a strengthened conviction and a roadmap, published at the end of the programme.
Subsequently, in April, a second round of fundraising fully realised this vision. This €3.5 million contribution accelerated our industrial development. In addition, it enabled us to structure our distribution and intensify innovation. The goal remains to combine excellence with independence.
As with the first operation, it is not just about capital. Indeed, this project is based on human alignment and mutual trust. The new entrants are not mere investors. On the contrary, they are full partners. They believe in our DNA and want to contribute actively to it.
That same month, the launch of our new website marked a step up in our digital offering. With a clearer interface, this platform embodies our commitment to excellence. It now offers an online experience that matches the quality of our physical creations.

2026 | Unlimited innovation and B2B excellence.
The year 2026 begins with a focus on technological performance and strengthening strategic alliances. In January, the company confirms its technical lead at the Velofollies trade show in Belgium. We present the optimised version of the Heritage Altitude Touring 2×2. This dual-motor mountain bike prototype also generates massive public enthusiasm.
The beginning of the year is also marked by the consolidation of a valuable relationship. This involves the creation of a special series of the Heritage Spirit Scrambler for our long-standing partner Hedonic. This exclusive collaboration is the ultimate expression of our shared expertise. By merging neo-retro design with Hedonic’s radical aesthetics, we have created a true collector’s item.
