Truly made in France
TRULY MADE IN FRANCE. AND PROUDLY SO.
At Ateliers HeritageBike, manufacturing in France is not a marketing ploy. On the contrary, it is a demanding and conscious choice that guides every decision we make. It is a daily commitment that gives meaning to our creations and our production methods.
This is where it all comes to life: in Annecy for our bicycles, and in Le Mans for our motorcycles, our two assembly sites (blue dots on the map). Each vehicle is assembled, each component adjusted, and each finish carefully crafted.
In addition, more than thirty French partners (red dots) contribute to the manufacturing process: committed artisans, manufacturers and specialists. Together, we do more than just design vehicles: we support a local, structured and sustainable economic fabric that is a source of expertise and a gateway to the future.
THIS CHOICE HAS A PRICE. AND A VALUE.
Producing in France, using short supply chains and working with identified and committed partners, involves higher costs than offshore production. This is a deliberate choice. It reduces transport, limits our carbon footprint, guarantees responsible working conditions and preserves local expertise.
We favour controlled volumes, limited series and components selected for their durability in order to avoid overproduction and obsolescence.
This means that our customers are not simply paying for a bicycle or a motorcycle: they are supporting the local economy, a transparent production model and a design that is built to last. It is therefore a responsible investment, consistent with current environmental and societal challenges.
IT IS ALSO AN ECOLOGICAL ACTION.
Manufacturing in France means reducing transport distances, limiting our carbon footprint and improving the traceability of each component. Our materials are selected with care, and our partners are chosen for their proximity and commitment. Manufacturing here means controlling every stage of the process, avoiding mass production and refusing to compromise between style and responsibility.
Finally, our approach is part of a broader commitment: we are part of the Business Climate Convention (CEC), a collective initiative aimed at transforming economic models towards greater sustainability.

Beyond an industrial choice, it is a source of pride. The pride of offering bikes designed with precision, with a strong identity and a concrete commitment to more responsible mobility.

Working hand in hand with local artisans and manufacturers:
We produce our bikes entirely in France, close to our workshop. What’s more, we work exclusively with French partners based in our region. This allows us to maintain control over every stage of production and ensure clear and consistent traceability throughout the entire process.
We communicate directly with our partners on a daily basis. This means we avoid complex time zones and uncertain deadlines. On the contrary, this proximity allows us to act quickly, make precise adjustments and maintain high standards. Ultimately, we are building a concrete, committed and lasting collaboration based on trust and shared expertise.
